Girma Cheru tells his story

 

Girma CheruVeteran Ethiopian fitness enthusiast and trainer Girma Cheru talks about his aerobics early morning radio show that kept generations of Ethiopians fit and active.

 

Girnam Cheru, 83, has five children and seven grandchildren and has been living in Toronto Canada since 1988.


In this short interview, he talks about how he turned his passion for aerobics and fitness into a career that literally made him a personal trainer for all Ethiopians – on the national radio.  And if you are among those who tuned into his radio shows decades ago, be prepared to time travel back to the good old days.
