Tutorial- restore windows operating system from the recovery partition boot into/use an hp recovery partition to factory reset/restore your windows pc to it’s original factory condition/settings by pressing f11 to boot the factory recovery partition image to re-install your computers original factory software and operating system. YOU SHOULD BACK UP ALL YOUR DATA FIRST and make sure your notebook is plugged in before booting from this partition volume. It might take longer than an hour to complete! All of your user files will be lost if you don’t back them up first. All files created after you purchased your notebook/computer, and all programs you installed after your purchase will be lost without backing up FIRST. This partition is a very easy way to recover your system to it’s original factory state. It is an original factory image used for system recovery. Works great if your system has a virus or has spyware. After re-installing windows it should be automatically activated for you. You will just need to go into the control panel and uninstall all of the old programs and trial edition software that originally came with your PC that the recovery partition restored. Then download all of Microsoft Windows latest updates.

I would like to restore my HP Windows 7 Home Premium laptop back to factory condition. I am not aware of having any system image pictures having been taken of this computer in the past. It used to belong to my dad. I have already backed up things I want saved, onto CDs and DVDS. Now, when I go to the Control Panel, and click on the Recovery icon – and next, click on Advanced – I see the option I want – "Restore your computer to factory condition." I click on it, and I see a yellow exclamation mark at the bottom, saying, "Windows could not find any file backups on this computer. Click Backup Now to create a file backup. But why would I want to create a file backup if the present condition of my computer is not satisfactory? Should I click "Skip?" It warns that if I choose "Skip" – I will lose files. Does this mean I will lose necessary files needed to properly run my computer afterwards? Thanks!
hello
will it delete file and reset all of my partition or just the C drive
I have a recovery partition D: in my HP 620 laptop, but it does not shows F11 recovery option on startup. Can u please guide how can i use the recovery partition ? As i do not have the drivers on a cd or dvd, how can i get them if i reinstall windows using a windows cd ? I want a fresh windows..
Thank You very much…:)
So long explaining.
When I push f11 nothing :/ what do i do?
If I upgrade windows and then run the recovery, will it recover back to the original version of windows or the one I upgraded to?
Thank you for this!
So the recovery will give me my old files back?
How can I fix my recovery partition in drive D the file inside is [Lang] lang en-US? The hp recovery partition is missing
we call all those old programs bloatware… Might as well just delete all of it except for the DVD player application (not included in windows 10) even on a brand new computer. In most cases the computer is faster without the preinstalled programs.
great explanation….I do have that recovery partition. I originally had only Win 7, so I guess it applies to Win 7, cause now, I had lost Win 7, through upgrading Win 10. I would like to get Win 7 back, and I have a year old backup on a external hd, but can't find a way to install it. I have set my Bios to disable fast boot, so i could use usb, but for some reason, usb is not acknowledged upon booting up. I have a good many pictures, and music on that ext. hd and want it badly…any ideas of how to get that backup running?
just get to the point my god! i mean u helped me but i wasted like extra 12 minutes of my life
can you do a windows 10 version of this?
Only partition where Windows is installed will be formatted or entire disk will be wiped ?
Get to the point

Thank you so much for making this video. I spent quite some time looking for this process. Microsoft and HP were of no use, as the laptop, running Windows 7, is out of warranty and no longer supported.
Great job!

Thanks for sharing this m8…. most related vids i first checked did not go straight to point and lasted like 16 to 20min, yet didn't put out the main solution as per factory restore windows through "Recovery partition" on hard drive. in this case you don't even need installation disc which is great! 🙂

Thank You So Much, You are a GREAT HELP

^$@@%You need to select one of your existing partitions (here is D: drive) on system disk to divide some space for creating a partition to store AOMEI OneKey Recovery bootable environment. And then, please select a destination folder (here is removable USB drive) to save system backup image file.
